#2106	Collings OM-42 BaaaG cutaway varnish (new) Wow! We finally got in a varnish and it is beautiful in all respects. The quartersawn "aaa" Brazilian is exactly what you would expect from the highest grade Martin's from the 1930's and the 25 year old German spruce top is of the highest grade and it shows both visually and tonally with richness and power. A 1 3/4" nut makes the guitar great for fingerstyle and both the ebony fretboard and the Brazilian rosewood overlaid peghead are bound in ivoroid and the top has an abalone rosette and the "42" style abalone border. The elegant cutaway gives easy access to the upper registers and the treble has a particularly responsive singing tone up there.
