Very rare pearl bordered 00-45 with only 9 made in 1919, Dead vertical Brazilian rosewood back and sides with a fine grain spruce soundboard (several well repaired cracks). Bound and slotted peghead with torch inlay, original tuners, bound ebony fretboard (1 7/8" nut) with diamonds and snowflake inlay, replica ebony pyramid bridge, and large maple replacement bridge plate making it quite suitable for silk and steel strings. Martin 000-28 (used, 1946 vg.+ cond.) Very professionally refinished and restored herringbone 000-28. Great tone and playability without the price tag of a fully original example.
Set up with Waverly tuners and plenty of saddle with good action. Medium to wide grain Adirondack spruce top with dead vertical, quarter sawn Brazilian rosewood back and sides. Neck has been thinned about 1/32” during the refinish sanding. 1950’s Victoria luggage HSC with dark blue interior.

Santa Cruz Guitar Co. Tony Rice Professional Limited (used - 2008) Near mint. This certainly qualifies as an ultimate Tony Rice style Dreadnought. Besides a hand picked 20-year-old German spruce top with fine silking and even grain, it has dead vertical 10 out of 10 old growth Brazilian rosewood back and sides. Extra custom features include: hot hide glue construction, Adirondack bracing, vintage oval nickel Waverly tuners, 25 ¼” scale and a finely French polished top (like Tony’s) giving the soundboard an extra bit of that all important flexibility. Bound ebony fingerboard with SCGC logo at the 16th fret, bound headstock with Brazilian overlay, herringbone top binding and rosette, vintage tortoise shell style pickguard, and ebony bridge. Gibson L-00 (ca. 1932) VG++ cond. This is one of the nicest small body Gibsons we have had in years. Rich tone and plays great. Traditional early 30’s small center sunburst with original striped pickguard and white top binding. Brazilian rosewood fretboard and bridge, comfortable “V” neck and mahogany back and sides. Some finish touch up and a couple of very fine hairlines in the back but all in all very solid with a fresh neck set by Chris Berkov and consequently a dream to play. HSC

The maple is very well flamed and set of with a dark sunburst varnish finish. Small fern peghead inlay, gold Waverly tuners with ebony buttons, flat ebony fretboard with 1 1/16” nut and 21 frets with medium banjo fretwire, small bound ebony pickguard, adjustable ebony bridge, and custom hinged gold plated and engraved “James” tailpiece. As usual the workmanship is impeccable and the woods and inlay
work are outstanding. A deeply flamed one-piece back with neck
and sides to match and a red spruce soundboard done in a rich
sunburst and varnish finish are set off with traditional ivoroid
binding. Gold plated engraved "Loar" style tuners with
solid mother of pearl buttons, bound peghead with Ellis logo
and colorful abalone fern pattern, mother of pearl truss rod
cover, bound fretboard with short extension, ebony bridge and
pickguard, and heavy duty gold plated "James" tailpiece.

Exceptionally fine workmanship throughout, with the result a great playing and full voiced instrument. Bound ebony fretboard and bound peghead with Mowry logo and flower inlay.
