#2132

Martin 00-40H (1937 vg.+ cond) Rare, pearl bordered 00-40H converted professionally from Hawaiian. Beautiful hand cut abalone inlay around top border and rosette with quarter sawn Brazilian rosewood back and sides. Original tortoise shell style pickguard, side mount Grover tuning machines, and ebony fretboard with diamonds and snowflakes inlay. Correct style replacement ebony bridge, replaced bridge plate, and refinished neck with fine hairline crack in back of peghead (stable for years - see photo). Possible very old overspray on back and sides. Though the guitar is definitely not in pristine all original condition it plays like a dream and sounds like “a million bucks”. HSC
